In the past years, the North Carolina learner average score results of SAT college entrance examination have just drop some points that mirrors its nationwide decline. As of now, according to the result that been released by this College Board that is a non profit organization that entirely manages the SAT, the state high school seniors of 2008 to 2009 academic school year had already combined to its field of math and reading average score about 1,006 down from 1,007 its years before. Aside of that, the national average have also fell point of 1,016. Even that, North Carolina still got the 37th highest average of this SAT scores across the nation. Since, the state’s average have already rises about 30 points ever since 1996 when the state had already ranked 48th place.

Among this 21 states with its District of Columbia where in this area at least half of their high school senior students have took this SAT examination, still the North Carolina scores ranked on the ninth. Although, the states with its best SAT score results usually got a fewer learners that took the examination due to the mere fact that several of their high school seniors are taking the ACT examination for college admission examination. This test results were usually been mixed among its school districts. Meanwhile, the Wake County’s average score results have rise up about 14 points to 1,073 that ties up to it’s third highest among its states 115 districts. But at the same time, Wake also saw some drop of percentage of high school seniors that took the SAT examination from 73.6 % to 67.1%.

It’s been observe that it got similar drops that occurred in some other areas of the districts especially in the percentage of seniors that will be taking this SAT. But the state average will continually remained that is about 63%. The Chapel Hill Carrboro’s average scored already remained about 1,179 which are still considered as the highest score result of SAT in the state. But in the Orange County schools its average score have fell about four points to 1,039 while in Johnston Country, it already drop about three points to 1,016 and about two point to 965 fell in Durham.

Its been considered that the North Carolina school of Science and Mathematics which is a public boarding school in Durham have educated several states best learners got the highest average score result of any schools in this state at about 1,324 while the Raleigh Charter high school got the level as third highest at 1,252 test result. This good test result of public boarding school is just one indication that most of the students are already prepared to face towards career building as they forgo further higher educational learning.
