Gatton Boarding School for the Gifted
Aug Mon 24th, 2009 by outsourcing
A community of young, bright and talented individuals is normally the academic atmosphere of most boarding schools. However, this kind of school experience has been traditionally limited to some of America’s elite. But Gatton Academy, located in Kentucky, prove it otherwise. While it is a lot like a fine boarding school, it is not accessible only by students of the upper family, but is well intended for gifted teenagers regardless of the family background. Gifted kids from across the state can experience this elite educational experience because the school’s vision is more down-to earth. The academy’s incoming class scored above 30 on the American College Test—a valid proof showing how truly gifted the kids are. One student commented that when you get into the academy you’d be forced to change your mindset—for the better. There’s always a reason to study hard. Moreover, other comparable states like South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee also have boarding schools designed to modernize their traditional agrarian economies, and producing efficient graduates that can help improve the shape of a state. These boarding schools for the gifted kids are ideal. If you’re a bright and motivated individual without the means to go to good schools, there are countless educational programs, philanthropic organizations and charter schools aimed to help you achieve your potentials. They identify your talents and capabilities and are willing to help you be able to share your God-given gifts for the common good. This means that if you work hard, you can go to Stuyvesant, Poly Prep or Bronx Science free of charge.
Unfortunately, not all states have the same kind of programs intended to identify and help gifted and talented kids. But Gatton has been able to do so, providing the same opportunity to every highly potential student in Kentucky. The school is fully funded by the state and by leading companies that also help support its funding. These companies invest in the kids because they’re going to need them someday. The corporate sponsors of Gatton are evidence to its potential to revive the state’s economy. The whole idea is for long-term, high yield investment especially for the industrial future of the of Kentucky’s economy.
