I am trying tom research a boarding school for my nephew . He lives in Brighton and is in a very difficult home environment. His mother, my sister suffers from severe depression, having just had a nervous breakdown and spent a month in a mental health hospital. She is at home now under medical home visits and hopes to have her 12 year old son back. Of course the boy does not want to spend time with her, so he goes to the park after school and has been drinking and smoking and returning home well after dark. His father is a drug addict and while he does love his son is incapable of providing him with a stable upbringing. I am wondering if there is a boarding school where he could receive a scholarship. He is a bright boy and was doing very well at school. He has been suspended from school, his grades are dropping, and we his family are very concerned about his future. His 2 sisters are now living with my brother, but they are unable to care for a third. 2 other brothers have to take the boy, but he wants to be with his father. We all know this is a dangerous place for him, not to mention being in a battle as his parents fight over him.

    Any suggestions ?

I love in California and neither parent wants him to leave the country.
