Christian boarding school and dormitories

Oct Wed 1st, 2008 by outsourcing

If you can say dormitories with notice stating “Christian boarding dorm only” this simply means the boarding house is exclusive for Christian students only. The owner would have thought of peaceful boarders if those inside his building have the same religious denominations.

The following are benefits offered in Christian boarding schools for your ready reference. This is you are a Christian student planning to come onboard this type of a boarding dormitory.

1. Have the same religious orientations – Since all boarders in a Christian boarding dormitory have the same religious orientation it is very easy for them to assimilate even if they belong to different countries. The owner of the boarding dorm would have lesser problems as far as peace and order situation inside his dorm building.

2. Can easily understand each other – Students in schools world wide which have the same boarding dorm can easily understand each others needs and there maybe time they can be together in many religious activities because they are all Christians. This type of a boarding dorm maybe discriminatory to non-Christians but there are also exclusive boarding dorm for non-Christians.

3. Students in a Christian boarding setting have always been respecting each other considering their religious orientations. It’ been a known fact that Christians are devoted faithful and they are always watchful of themselves not to commit mistakes which they think against the will of God.

4. In a Christian exclusive dorm you can find that everyone respects each others belongings, privacy, and self-respect knowing the fact that they have the same religious orientation. Of course, there maybe trouble involving young students but you would be assured it is only very minimal.

5. In an exclusive Christian dorm you cannot find religious debate like it did happen in many boarding houses in other places where there are mix population of both Christians and non-Christians. This type of a boarding dorm is risky in the sense that debating religion always results to trouble and misunderstanding because each one has different interpretations of the bible. In many countries of the world, there are recorded worst cases in debating on religion so that if you are student you should take extra caution in selecting a boarding dorm type most especially if you are an international student.

One Response to “Christian boarding school and dormitories”

  1. Ferdi McDermott Says:

The mutual support offered by fellow young believers in a school setting can be a very powerful influence in a young person’s life.
Also, children who come from a strong faith background at home would be disoriented in an environment that did not give them the same kind of support.

So, far from being about limiting choices, strong religious schools actually provide choice for believing families. They provide a school environment which is still what schools always used to be: the traditional extension of the family values of the home.

At out Catholic boarding school for boys, our pupils are happy to live, work, study, play and pray together, just as they would with their brothers and sisters at home. And the role of the teachers at the school is to provide solid religious role models for the boys as well as sound academic training.
