Boarding school review
Aug Thu 21st, 2008 by outsourcing
Many of the students who have gone to boarding schools for years are saying that boarding schools are going to be super schools these days. This might be how students see boarding schools base on their experience – and it’s true. Boarding schools have super improvements to suit the needs of the growing population. They think that boarding schools also provide quality education. They also provide good learning institutions for students, and many parents in the US and even in Europe are now very positive of the idea of enrolling their kids in this type of school.
In fact, a military school in the US also provides this kind of education because they saw how this system works in privately-owned institutions. Although there are reputations of these schools having excessive fees but parents learn to understand where these fees go to. A survey conducted revealed that there are over 70,000 children enrolled in independent and state-run boarding schools. This information is also confirmed by the Association of Boarding Schools (ABS), saying the population of students has increased in the previous years.
Melvyn Roffe, head of a boarding school in Norfolk and new chair of the association said many people thought of boarding schools as elitist, expensive and old-fashioned but the fact is boarding schools give different perspective of a quality and sound education for the new generation of children. He said with the boarding school concept many children are taught the proper value of being independent and responsible. They learn to clean themselves and wash their own clothes. They learn to become a very responsible citizen of the country even at their very young age.
Roffe also said some parents have decided to enroll their children to boarding schools to protect them from the many temptations of the outside world as well as the dangers that teenage life may challenge them. There are gangs and the use of alcohol in many schools which can put danger to their growing children. Many parents also cannot properly watch their children because they are preoccupied with their work. They need to get help and boarding schools fit their choices for the best schools where they can feel their children are safe and free from dangers and temptations of the outside world.
