An international student basically is a foreign student holding a non-US passport. Around the world, international students usually choose a boarding school setting so that they can live and study freely without any fear of being ridiculed and other problems during the immersion process.

The English as a Second Language (ESL), which is also offered in boarding schools, helps students learn English quickly. It is said that the ESL is designed so that international students can easily their reading, writing and speaking abilities of the English language.
For international students ready for the college education, there are college counselors that are offered by many boarding schools to give students more information about the kind of environment they plan to live.
